Job description

To strengthen our young team, we are looking for a highly qualified Lead Process Engineer for hydrogen systems who is enthusiastic about planning and implementing complex technical projects. In this exciting role, you will be responsible for the successful implementation and commissioning of our hydrogen electrolysis plants. From the pre-contract phase, where you will support the sales department with FEED studies and technical proposal reviews, to the onsite commissioning of hydrogen plants, you will be the Engineer assigned to the project. In this role, you will liaise with the Project Manager, other technical disciplines, partner companies and the client's technical representatives.

If you are a hands-on Engineer with a desire to execute entire projects, including managing on-site commissioning, then you will thrive in this role. We are looking for candidates for project related roles at our Goslar site. A demonstrable understanding of automation technology and mechanical design would also be highly advantageous.


YOUR ACTIVITIES:

· Lead Project Engineer for complex hydrogen systems with technical responsibility for the project execution in cooperation with the Project Manager.

· Work closely with the project team to fulfil the technical requirements and specifications.

· Work in an interdisciplinary team from the fields of process engineering, design, process automation and production/assembly.

· Customise our products to fit the process engineering requirements of the project and liaise closely with the design & development department.

· As part of the project, you will be the customer's technical contact person and support the project-specific safety analyses and HAZOP studies.

· Supervise the testing and commissioning of the H2 electrolysis plants at the production site and at the delivery site.

· Support the creation of project-specific plant documentation.

· Carry out and documenting tests and optimising plant performance as part of commissioning.

· Support the sales department in liaising with potential customers and reviewing technical specifications as well as carrying out FEED studies.

Job requirements

YOUR PROFILE:

· You have a very good university degree in process engineering, chemical engineering or similar with a focus on energy and process engineering.

· You already have professional experience in the project planning of process engineering systems, preferably in the hydrogen environment.

· Knowledge of measurement and control technology.

· Commissioning experience in mechanical/plant engineering is an advantage.

· Knowledge of electrical safety engineering is also desirable as you will be working closely with our EI&C team.

· You have a very good command of written and spoken German and English

(Minimum qualification level of CEFR B2 is required)

· We expect you to be familiar with MS Office and project management basics.

· You are highly flexible, a strong communicator, technically innovative and able to work under pressure.

· You can maintain an overview even in parallel projects and can maintain quality standards in a focused and timely manner.

· In addition to your strong communication skills and sense of responsibility, you will be willing to travel. (National and international trips of max. 30% with a duration up to 3 weeks)
